Lead Melting System

Furnaces designed for melting lead and lead oxides recovered from battery scrap are manufactured in two types: fixed-axis rotary furnaces and tilting rotary furnaces. In fixed-axis rotary furnaces, the melting process occurs more slowly, allowing for two charges per day; molten metal is transferred to the crucible while dross is effectively separated. Tilting rotary furnaces are designed for higher capacities, accommodating up to four charges per day. During casting into T-ingot molds, dross is separated using a dross-retaining arm positioned at the furnace mouth.
